Today I'm going to show you how you can easily take a box cake mix and turn it into an amazing home made cake with only a few extra steps. Trust me on this, it may sound weird but try it and you'll never buy a cake again...
Take any cake mis of your choice. I don't know that this would work with carrot cake or like that strawberry flavored cake but otherwise it should work well. I usually choose a chocolate variety because it works best with chocolate.
Add the mix to a bowl
Then you'll mix in a 5.9 oz box of chocolate pudding powder mix (for vanilla use vanilla, butterscotch etc., you can play around with different flavors but chocolate with chocolate will make it realllly good and chocolaty)
1 cup low fat sour cream
1 cup butter (I hate the taste of oil in cake, ick) (hint- adding extra butter will keep making it better)
4 eggs
1/2 cup warm water
2 cups or more mini chocolate chips (you can play around here with peanut butter chips, white chocolate, coconut etc.)
Blend it all together.
This makes a lot of batter and its pretty thick, it will take a bit longer to cook.
It is very dense, moist and SOOOO good. Boyfriend approved.
