Snack Time!

Everyone loves a good snack. These two are really good healthy snacks. They may not be for everyone though.

1. Let's call it "nuts 4 nuts" like those silly nut carts all over NYC.  I take a spoon and dip it in peanut butter. Don't get a big huge glob but just a normal spoon full.  Dust said spoon full with cinnamon. Now HERE is the exciting part. Grab a hand full of raw almonds and dip them in the peanut butter 'till it's gone.  This nut on nut action is seriously good and full of filling protein and omegas.

2. This is a special popcorn I used to make as a child and still make for an exciting snack. Many people will think it sounds gross... I think gourmet.  Take a hundred calorie bag of popcorn and pop it in the microwave.  Open the bad. Hold onto the little crease/fold on the bottom so that you can gently shake the popcorn around (the goal here is to rumble the popcorn around so it rotates around the bag).  First you will shake in some garlic powder (the garlic salt works too but adds unwanted sodium).  Shake it in according to how garlicy you want it. Then press the opening shut and shake it up to mix it well. Next you will repeat this step with paprika.  If you want it spicier use cayenne pepper.  Here is where it gets crazy and trickier.  Repeat this step one more time but make sure the popcorn is really being thrown around the bag and not sitting at the bottom.  Take some soy sauce and slowly dribble it down into the bag while you are jiggling it. I know. It sounds gross. I promise it is good.  There may be a few soggy pieces but if you toss it right you will have soy sauce splattered popcorn.  Add as much or as little as you like. mmmmmmmm
